We have visited Ightham Mote twice now, once in the spring and again in the summer, in fact it was our very first National Trust site to visit. It is surprising what a difference a season makes. Believe it or not we had more sun shine in our spring visit than we did in our summer visit. Still it didn’t stop us getting some lovely snaps.
The picture above is from the green looking back at Ightham Mote house. As you walk further on from the green you come to a lake… We didn’t even know it existed until our second visit and it is a nice pleasurable walk with plenty of open space for children to play and an ideal place for a picnic, should the sun decide to shine, during what is supposed to be summer.
