Ightham Mote Entrance
Today’s picture is one that was taken back in March 2012 at Ightham Mote, Nr Sevenoaks, Kent.
Once you walk over the bridge to the mote you enter via a set of wooden arched doors, then walk under the perimeter of the building and then through another set of wooden doors to the courtyard. This can clearly be seen in our gallery.
But what inspired me today was that little entrance, how quaint and quirky it was and how the National Trust had placed flowers in a bricked up arch to greet you as you went to walk into the courtyard.
I don’t know about you, but I find the picture, very picturesque and I hope you do to.
