Learning something new each day..
Well they say you learn something new each day.. and believe me that is true. Today I wrote a post for this blog called Gliding through the air, which was about a seagull in flight. It was a picture my husband took from Upnor, Nr Rochester in Kent.
Well, tonight I was playing around with Lightroom and found a button where you could flip photos.. honestly I didn’t know it was there, so was quite amazed when I found this feature. Mind you I have only been using Lightroom since August, so I am still a novice. What works some photographers create using Lightroom really does blow your mind away…. their skills and talents are pure genius and I am now finding myself watching every video going as to how they created that such picture.
Now, the perfect picture to try this on was the post above and to be honest.. I am quite astounded as to the results this one little command this feature does.
You can do the usual rotate, left and right, which is plain standard in every piece of photographic software I have used… but if you click on the Photo command and then scroll down you can find the flip horizontal and the flip vertical commands.
Now back to the post, here is the original (Photo A) as it was shot.
Here is the photo flipped horizontally (Photo B)
Now I don’t know about you, but I am tending to prefer the flipped version than the original.. What about you.. Please vote and maybe post a comment, because I would love to read what other people think and whether the majority of readers prefer.
