Cone Glow

Cone Glow

Yesterday I decided to take some photos of our Christmas trees, and this picture really caught my eye.  To me it looks like the pine cone is glowing as the lights reflect on it from the rear.  I don’t know about others, but at Christmas I like to stick to a certain colour scheme and for the past umpteen years it has been red and gold.

They do laugh at me, as everything has to match.. today for instance I was going from store to store looking for Christmas crackers that would complement the table-cloth and would again work well within my gold and red theme.

And today I got another bargain, red charger plates with matching coasters.

Now I don’t know about your partners, but mine immediately thought they were to put your dinner on.. he didn’t realise that they are sophisticated place mats and wanted to know why we needed them.. well that’s men for you.

Anyway back to the original image of this post.  as I said I just love the way the light reflects through the cone and makes it look like it is glowing.

Merry Christmas everyone… hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
