Claremont Landscape Gardens
Now I don’t know about you, but I do enjoy the summer, when the skies are blue and the sun beats down on us. I love the warmth and I love the colours that summer brings, with all its flowers.
Well last summer we visited Claremont Landscape Gardens, in Surrey. It is not too far from us really, about an hours drive away. The only part is, the journey is not too bad, providing the M25 flows freely. One slight incident and you are bumper to bumper and crawling at a snail’s pace.
When we visited, there were black Swans in the grounds, but unfortunately they were on the island situated in the middle of the lake and they didn’t venture over.
What I love about the above photo, is the lushness of the trees and the greenery that surrounds the lake. Claremont Landscape Gardens is a beautiful place to visit… Unfortunately when we were there the parking was a bit of an issue. But that was easily remedied, as there is a Country Park just over the road and you can park in that car park.
We had just lost our Tibetan Mastiff, Bo, a few days earlier and it was at Claremont that a gentleman was walking his Golden Retriever, that was it, the dog made a beeline for me for a stroke and a cuddle and that was the omen to get another dog.. and it would have to be a Golden Retriever.
Only thing was, instead of one dog, we ended up buying brother and sister, aptly named Stewie and Dumpling, who now give us such great pleasure and a lot of hard-work rectifying their naughty little habits.
