Rooms of Wakehurst

Rooms of Wakehurst

As we strolled around the house at Wakehurst Place, we came across the library with it’s original fireplace.

Another room that I liked was this one, where the sun shone through the windows

I am an amateur photographer, blogger and digital artist as well as being the female half of RyanPhotography. We both have a keen interest in landscape and floral photography. And we live in Kent, also known as the Garden of England, in the United Kingdom. We both have a desire to travel and hopefully one day move to somewhere where it is picturesque and a photographer's delight.

Quite the juxtaposition of the modern ceiling and that fabulous fireplace! Thanks for sharing!

That fireplace is really spectacular.. I can image a fire going in that fireplace.

I tried to imagine it, how grand to have lived in that fashion!

I love photographing that era, but to be honest, I think all the dark wood and dark furniture would make me feel rather claustrophobic… I personally like light airy spaces.. mind you though I do love going to these houses and seeing what it was like in the 1950’s/1960’s.. some of the things displayed bring back memories.

I just love comments... Thanks for stopping by...
