Lightroom – Radial Filter
Yesterday, I posted up a picture called Magenta Magic, I liked the picture but I wanted to know what it would look like in black and white.. so I set about using the radial filter in Lightroom to see what effect I could achieve.
I converted the picture to black and white and then used the radial filter to make the outside of the flower dark by lowering the exposure to -100. I then used the radial filter again, only this time I inverted the mask and lightened up the exposure slightly… then I used a new radial filter, inverted mask, to make the centre petals lighter..
All in all I am pleased with the picture and I love the new radial filter in Lightroom and what it can do.. Just a shame that there is not a filter exactly the same that can use the square or rectangle perspective.
