Folkestone at night…
In a post I wrote on my personal blog yesterday, I mentioned about going to Folkestone to capture another sunset.. well the weather held off.. after all the rain we had yesterday, I am quite surprised that we weren’t water logged. God did it rain yesterday.. it was heavy rain, turning into to torrential rain and then back to heavy rain.. all day long.
But we made it..
Unfortunately though the sunset was not over the sea.. it was over the roofs of the shops and houses along the seafront.. but that didn’t stop us enjoying our stroll along the front.
The above picture is of a restaurant called the The True Briton which is opposite the harbour.
Just over the road from the pub is this water feature.. whilst we were there tonight the kids were thoroughly enjoying themselves riding their bikes through the water jets.
This is another picture of the True Briton taken at a different angle.
We had a wonderful time strolling along the front.. our only amazement is that the fun fair has gone and it seems that Folkestone is going to be redeveloped..
I can well remember the days of Folkestone Market on a Sunday Morning and then an afternoon having a ride or two at the funfair.. how times change.
