One of our favourite places to visit is Scotney Castle in Kent.. The above picture was created firstly by merging three auto-bracketed photos into one HDR (High Dynamic Range) image.
Once the image was created, I then played around with image, in Lightroom, until I was happy with it.. which left me with the picture below.
I liked the final result and was considering just posting this photo.. but, then I wondered what the image would look like with a texture applied to it. Normally I use a Linen texture, but this time I decided to use a leather texture..
From Lightroom with the adjustments already made I exported the photo so that I could edit the photo in Photoshop and added the above texture as a new layer.. I then changed the changed the layer type from Normal to Multiply… and saved the result which was automatically transferred back to Lightroom.
Then I altered the exposure to make the picture slightly lighter and altered the contrast. I do like the look of the leather on the sky.. and I think this is one texture that I will be using very often.
