One of the many photographers I follow on Facebook is Paul Barson Photography.

I just love his macro photography and how he processes his photos. And as a starting point I just love his Low Contrast Warm Sun Top Right Flare Preset and have used it in many photographs I have processed in Lightroom… albeit it slightly altered manner to accommodate the style of photograph I want to create.
Well the other day when visiting Facebook, I stumbled across another preset that Paul offers as a download.. called ‘Preset – Dreamy B&W for Yellow’. And I have been longing to give this preset a go… and have spent ages going through my Lightroom catalogue to find a photograph that would compliment this preset.
Paul in his read.txt file tells you to use this preset as a starting point as it is not designed as a ‘one-click preset’. So that is exactly what I did.
I found this image in my catalogue which was taken at Beech Court Gardens in Kent.
I applied the preset in Lightroom, raised the clarity a little more and then added 3 radial filters which increased the exposure slightly in three areas.
My final image using this preset did exactly what it said it would do and that is create a dreamy image.
I hope you like it and thanks Paul for another great preset.
