Yellow Flowers of Lullingstone

A photograph of yellow flowers taken in the World Gardens at Lullingstone Castle in Kent.

Taking this Powder Paint to another level is something that I wanted to try… I love Topaz Impression 2 and I wondered what the effect would look like after adding a paint effect to the image.

To do this effect, I added a slight texture after I did my powder paint effect and removed some of that texture from the centre of the photograph and lowered the opacity.  I didn’t want the texture to overtake the image.. so by lowering the opacity of the texture layer it just gave a hint of the texture to the image..

I then merged all my layers together to create a flat image… then I sent this Layer to Topaz Impression where I added the default effect.

Once my image was created by Topaz Impression 2, the boxing around the image had breaks in it.. so I duplicated my box layer.. and moved it above my Topaz Impression layer and added a drop shadow to the box layer.  This filled in the breaks of the box outline.

I am an amateur photographer, blogger and digital artist as well as being the female half of RyanPhotography. We both have a keen interest in landscape and floral photography. And we live in Kent, also known as the Garden of England, in the United Kingdom. We both have a desire to travel and hopefully one day move to somewhere where it is picturesque and a photographer's delight.
