Owl are you? An owl from Jambs Owls

Photograph of an owl taken at Hall Place in Bexley – Powder Paint Effect without Box Outline

Saturday was the first time in ages that I have been out and our little trip took us to Hall Place.  Anyway as we were leaving we saw a sign for Jambs Owls and decided to pay a visit.  Believe it or not the above photograph of this owl straight out of the camera was bland and boring even after cropping. I’m back…. out and about with my camera

Where I am not able to get out and about much with this dreaded hip… (can’t wait for the op now, boredom and frustration are setting in)… photography has had to take a bit of a back burner…  And as silly as it sounds… going through old photos of places of where we have been… makes me feel even more down that I can’t get out and about.

So to combat this, I have taken to doing Digital Art in Photoshop, I am still much a novice… but believe me… it is teaching me a whole lot more about Photoshop… clipping masks, layer masks, adjustment layers, filters.

What I am loving is once I have created my artwork.. I can then go one step further in Lightroom as well as other software programmes I use, like Topaz Adjust, Texture Effects and Nik Software.

Here are a few of the other processing techniques I have used on this image.
