Mid-Week Monochrome – MWM 1

On Guard

A photograph of the Guard at Windsor Castle in his sentry box.

One of the challenges that I used to love reading was Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness… however, it is with great sadness that at the present time Leanne will no longer be running this challenge for the foreseeable future.  I know I only submitted entries now and again.. but I loved looking at other people’s photos, which gave me inspiration at times.

Monochrome photography is one aspect of photography that I do love.  So I thought I would start my own Mid-Week Monochrome challenge.  I’m unsure at the moment on how to run it… whether it be like the Photo For The Week Challenge where you just comment or send a pingback or whether I will go down the route like Leanne did and ask for submissions to be emailed to me prior to my posting, which will be on a Wednesday morning.  So for the time being let’s see how it goes for the time being and go from there.  UPDATE – I have decided to go down the same route as the Monday and Friday Challenges – Please read the instructions here.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Leanne Cole of Leanne Cole Photography for all her hard work in running Monochrome Madness for many years and I wish her every success in the new direction she is about to undertake.

For this week alone, please feel free to submit your images below either by commenting below or sending a pingback/trackback to this post.
