Lens Artists Photo Challenge #38 – Weathered or Worn

Nymans Ruins

Ann-Christine’s topic for this week’s Lens-Artist Photography Challenge is Weathered – Worn.  There is nothing more worn than something that has been destroyed by a Fire.  The above image is of the ruins of Nymans House which was destroyed by a fire in 1947.

Due to the rationing and restrictions on the supply of building materials post-war, part of the house has never been rebuilt. And to this date, it still lies in ruins and I thought it would be an ideal subject for the weather and worn Photography Challenge.
